1. The Critical Difference
In standard grocery or electronics retail, FIFO (First In, First Out) is adequate. But in pharmaceuticals, a new shipment from a distributor might contain a batch with an earlier expiry date than stock already sitting on your shelves. Under FIFO, that older batch would expire unsold. Under FEFO, the shortest shelf-life batch is dispensed first.
